The Tramway Enterprise has an important mission for undertaking the transportation
function of the Historical Peninsula. It faces an intense transportation demand
on every hour of the day and is organized to apply all the arguments and methods
of management regarding the technical, administrative, safety and passenger satisfaction,
in order to meet this demand.
It is obligatory that control, improvement, maintenance and modification activities
should be sustainable in an enterprise that works nonstop from 06:00 am to 00:00
pm, and is continuously working for the accomplishment of activities such as maintenance
and revenue collection in the remaining hours of the day. In a way, the tramline
is the heart of Istanbul.
